At OptoScale, we’re transforming how fish farmers monitor and improve fish welfare with our advanced underwater camera technology. Our customers are in Norway and in all major salmon-producing countries, and we want them to be the most satisfied in the industry. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an engaged and self-driven Customer Success Manager to help our customers get the most out of our technology – from onboarding and training to solving challenges and enhancing their experience over time. In this varied, international, and customer-facing position, you’ll be the bridge between innovative technology and the people who use it every day.

About the team and what you’ll do
You’ll join a close and collaborative Customer Success team with a mix of technical and aquaculture expertise. We support each other, share knowledge openly, and take pride in delivering a first-class customer experience – and enjoying ourselves along the way.
In this role, your work will combine people skills, problem-solving, and technology - and here's what that looks like:
- Help customers succeed: Make sure customers get the most out of our Bioscope – from onboarding and training to confident everyday use – and follow up with tips that help them work smarter.
- Work with people: Run workshops and training sessions on-site or online, meet customers, answer questions, and find smooth solutions.
- Improve our tools and processes: Refine AI tools, streamline workflows, and keep our knowledge base and self-service resources up to date.
- Solve problems: Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or video, troubleshoot quickly, and share insights with our product and development teams.
What we hope you'll bring
We’re looking to strengthen two areas of expertise. If you match both, fantastic – but we strongly encourage you to apply even if you match one of these:
- Technical expertise - develop and adopt new technical tools that enhance the customer experience and improve internal efficiency.
- Training and presentation skills – experience in customer training, delivering presentations and facilitating sessions, and guiding customers in diverse markets.
Since this is a customer-facing position, it goes without saying that you enjoy talking with customers and excel at explaining complex issues in a simple way – both in Norwegian and English. If you also master Spanish – mucho bueno!
It’s a plus if you also have:
- A background in aquaculture, technology, or customer service – through education, experience, or both.
- Strong systems understanding and a quick ability to learn new tools.
- Experience with CRM/ticketing systems such as Zendesk, HubSpot, or Freshdesk.
