OptoScale has developed an industry-leading computer vision system creating a paradigm shift in aquaculture. Our hardware product, the Bioscope, is a stereoscopic underwater camera device with onboard computing and internal light systems. This unit is placed in fish pens to collect a wide array of data from thousands of fish each day.

With increasing demand for our technology, we are looking for a driven and proactive Service and Maintenance Technician to strengthen our team.

About the role

You will be part of a skilled and technically versatile team. Your workdays will be varied and, at times, hectic. We set high standards for quality and precision – even when the workload is high and the pace is fast. Your tasks will include:

• Servicing and maintaining cameras and pen cabinets
• Troubleshooting devices
• Calibration and testing before dispatch
• Continuous improvement work with a focus on quality and process optimization 

Who you are

You’re practical, solution-oriented, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You enjoy working hands-on, solving challenges as they come, and being part of a team that values precision and collaboration. 

We think you’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Vocational certificate in a relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in service and maintenance
• Experience with precision mechanics, electronics, and/or optics
• Experience with troubleshooting and assembly tasks
• Proficient in both Norwegian and English, spoken and written
